Welcome to the 200th Anniversary!

The year 2009 will mark the anniversary of the founding of the American Sisters of Charity by St. Elizabeth Seton in Emmitsburg, Md. This is a significant event both for the Sisters of Charity and for the American Catholic Church, since the Sisters of Charity were the first active congregation of women religious founded in the United States, as well as the largest community to serve our country and church during the entire antebellum period. The Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati are planning a full slate of events to celebrate this important landmark. We have included many opportunities for our friends, families and co-workers to join us during this year.
