Taize Prayer

In the Motherhouse Chapel of the Sisters of Charity we do Taize Prayer the second Friday of each month in the evening.

Taize prayer consists of simple meditative chants interspersed with scripture, silence, intercessory prayer, and the Our Father. The songs are simple, repetitive and meditative and are meant to foster a spirit of contemplation. There is also time for participants to come forward and pray silently at the cross leaving ones burdens or intentions with the one who bears all for us. The Taize community in France draws people from around the world to come together in prayer.
