Following are summaries, highlights, quotes and photos from Sunday, March 11 of the Chapter.

Reflection on Chapter Prayer and Liturgy
From the “Holy Sacred Spirit, breathe Your breath on us” prayed over each delegate at the Opening Ritual until the “Come fill our hearts with a spirit of love” in the closing celebration the presence of the Spirit with us was both sought and experienced as a way of meeting our grace. Liturgies expressed our longing for love found only in God, our desire to be light for the kingdom by acting justly, loving tenderly and walking humbly with our God, and our call to proclaim good news to the poor.

The Chapter Room was blessed by asking the Spirit to “live within us.” Morning prayer offered precious moments of silence to allow the Spirit to fill and guide each heart individually and communally. Nominees were blessed with “Veni Santi Spiritus” and elected leaders were received with “Lead me, Guide Me in Your Way and blessed with a prayer for “the light of God’s radiant love bursting forth to enflame the earth.” Mantras sung throughout the days provided a prayerful way of remembering the Spirit of God was both calling and guiding us to meet our grace each moment of each day we spent together.
