Office of Peace, Justice and the Integrity of Creation, Advisory Board

About Office of Peace, Justice and Care for Creation

Mission Statement of OPJCC

The mission of the Office of Peace, Justice and Care for Creation is to move the work of justice through education, advocacy and action rooted in our Sisters of Charity charism which calls us to be agents of change.

OPJCC provides education, advocacy and action opportunities for our Sisters and Associates as well as the local, state, national and international community of our sisters and brothers. All peace and justice issues are important to us and the following are several examples: active non-violence, anti-racism, Earth, human trafficking, immigration, political and church systems, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, and women.

The office works with several organizations including: Sisters of Charity Federation, North American Vincentian Family, Leadership Conference of Women Religious, Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center, Nuns on the Bus Ohio, and Mount St Joseph University.

Some of our efforts include: Water With Blessings, Prayer Trees, Earth Day Fair, Mary of Magdala Prayer Service, Congo Week, Take a Legislator to Prayer, Human Trafficking Symposium, ongoing collection of personal hygiene items for those who have been trafficked, and Welcome Baskets for refugees.
