Incarnation: Birthing the Indwelling God
Contemporary spiritualities draw us into the living presence of God, in Whom we are sustained and brought to wholeness. These evenings will invite reflection about our marvelous creative, generative being, through which God breathes grace into our precious world. Buddhist and Christian contemplative practice will be used during our exploration of our lives as the womb of God’s grace. As seekers in contemporary spirituality, Marge Kloos, SC and Loyola Walter will share inspired reflections flowing from personal encounter with Sacred Wisdom. Marge is a pastoral care theologian having served most recently as a scholar in residence at Tantur Ecumenical Institute for Theological Studies in Jerusalem, during which time she researched spiritual care strategies with women suffering from intergenerational trauma. Loyola is an artist with a special appreciation for sacred and liturgical art. Her commissioned sculpture of St. Francis of Assisi poignantly gestures a spirit of hope and compassion in the Over-the Rhine community of Cincinnati. Both women serve on the faculty of the College of Mount St. Joseph.
