Reiki Circle
Reiki Circle is a gathering of Reiki practitioners. It offers a time to gather, pray, share and an opportunity to both give and receive Reiki Healing.

Reiki Training
The Usui System of Reiki (ray-key) Healing is an ancient healing art that enhances relaxation and helps bring healing to the physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual being. It is the God-consciousness called REI that guides the life energy KI in the practice of Reiki.

Mary Fran Davisson, SC, is a Reiki Master in the Usui System of Reiki Healing as well as a Registered Karuna Reiki® Master and an Ohio licensed, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist.

Level I
Reiki I prepares the participant to become a Reiki Practitioner. During this class, you will: define chakras, demonstrate use of a pendulum to detect a person’s energy field, explain concept of Reiki energy, compare ritual to Attunement, recognize effect of hand positions to Reiki, demonstrate & practice correct hand positions used during a Reiki session, recall & interpret Reiki Precepts, recognize the advantage of self Reiki & perform the steps.

Continuing Education Approval:
This CE activity has been approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the OBN Approver, Ohio Organization of Nurse Executives, OBN-004-92 and has been assigned an ID# of OONE-07-02.

Level II
Reiki II deepens a practitioner's ability to share the healing energy of Reiki. Participants will review the history and hand positions of Reiki, have an opportunity to discuss their practice with other Reiki practitioners, and give and receive Reiki at a deeper level. Copy of Reiki I Certificate must be provided.

Reiki III/Master Training
This class prepares participants to become a Reiki Master. In addition to a review of Reiki I and II content and techniques, participants will: learn advanced techniques, discover ways that Reiki helps facilitate personal and spiritual growth, gain knowledge that will enhance their ability to share Reiki with others, learn the Reiki III symbols, receive the Master Attunement, learn and practice the attunements necessary to teach Reiki to others.

Prerequisites for Reiki III are certification in Reiki I and II and the regular practice of Reiki for a period of one year or having completed a minimum of 100 Reiki sessions. Upon receipt of your registration form and deposit, additional material will be sent to complete the registration process. Please register as soon as possible but no later than October 20, 2008.

Karuna Reiki®
Karuna is a Sanskrit word that translates to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others. It could also be translated to mean “compassionate action.”

This class helps to open the practitioner more deeply to the Reiki energy and introduces them to the Karuna symbols which focus on specific issues. Karuna Reiki® is not a substitute for Usui Reiki, but follows it and enhances the Reiki energy.

Following the class the practitioner will be able to:

• Explain the origin and history of Karuna Reiki® and its use in contemporary healing
• Name and explain the meaning and use the Karuna symbols
• Teach and practice the proper technique used during Karuna Reiki® treatments

When finished, the practitioner will be a registered Karuna Reiki® Master recognized by the International Center for Reiki Training and be able to teach Karuna Reiki®.

The Karuna Reiki® Class is for anyone who has completed the Reiki Master training and has been practicing as a Master for one year.

Mary Fran Davisson, SC is on staff of the Sisters of Charity Spirituality Center. In addition to being a Usui Reiki Master and Registered Karuna Reiki® Master, she is an Ohio licensed, nationally certified massage therapist and completed a 100 hour course in Oncology/Hospital massage through William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She received her education as a Reiki Master at Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont, OH and massage training at The New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
