God Makes Everything Easy to the Simple and Confiding
The theme of the retreat is from the words of Elizabeth Ann Seton. Retreat is a time to put aside all the chaos and clutter of life and to focus on what really matters. The simplicity of retreat helps us grow intimacy and confidence in our Divine Creator. The retreat will invite us to “come away” and just “be” with self and with God. The topics of the conferences will help set this tone and theme of the retreat. While in the simplicity of retreat, the conferences will also focus on the Vincentian and Setonian values of the Paschal Mystery, Mercy, Reconciliation, Justice, the Evangelical Counsels, the Gift of Faith, and the Service to the Poor.
Each day retreatants will be given a handout with prayers, scripture, and excerpts from spiritual writing to assist in their prayers. These handouts are useful prayer aids and reminders of the retreat throughout the year. The retreat will consist of two conferences per day and Liturgy of the Eucharist.
