"The greater the work the more
important it is to establish it on
a solid foundation. Thus it will
not only be more perfect; it
will also be more lasting.”

St. Louise de Marillac

“Friendship has the skill and
observation of the best physician,
the diligence and vigilance of the
best nurse and the tenderness
and patience of the best mother.”

Mother Margaret George

Catholic Schools Week: Faith. Excellence. Service.

The Sisters of Charity have a long legacy ministering in the field of education. In celebration of Catholic Schools Week we have asked a few of our current and former SC educators to tell us what they enjoy/enjoyed most about their teaching ministry.

In this video S. Pat Newhouse reflects on how a simple gesture and her continued support motivated one student even years later.

In this video S. Peggy Rein shares the joy and excitement she receives from her students and ministry.

An educator for more than 50 years, S. Ginny Scherer shares the joys she receives from teaching her high-school age students.

While S. Nancy Bramlage’s ministries have varied throughout the years, she treasured her time as a French teacher at Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton, Ohio, and being a part of Catholic schools.
