"The greater the work the more
important it is to establish it on
a solid foundation. Thus it will
not only be more perfect; it
will also be more lasting.”

St. Louise de Marillac

“Be diligent in serving
the poor. Love the poor,
honor them, my children,
as you would honor
Christ Himself.”

St. Louise de Marillac

SCs Celebrate World Environment Day

EarthConnection in collaboration with the Earth Justice Circle hosted a day of events for World Environment Day on June 5. The day’s theme focused on plastics and opened with prayer followed by a viewing of the movie “We’re All Plastic People Now,” and presentation by Sisters Joanne Burrows and Jean Miller on plastic pollution. Other activities included Eco-Art, Eco-Bingo, and letter writing. The day closed with a prayer service in the Rose Room which included a photo meditation and live harp music provided by Associate Nancy Bick Clark. The activities offered Community members and friends another opportunity to deepen our commitment to care for all creation.
