2–24 hours per roll

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist or provide residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, etc. in order to meet their physical, spiritual and psychosocial needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information (HIPAA) and adhere to all resident rights.
  • Observe residents’ condition and communicate to charge nurse on a daily basis.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly.
  • Assist with admission and discharge procedure as required.
  • Follow all established infection control guidelines and standard precautions.
  • Attend shift report, answer call lights, and assist residents with any rehabilitative requirements.
  • Cooperate with all nursing teams and departments to ensure all residents’ needs are met.
  • Attend and participate in all in-services, training sessions, and staff meetings as required per position.
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Accept changes in work assignments as requested by the assigned supervisor.
  • Participate on committees for quality improvement as required.

 

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be a STNA on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Knowledge of dementia helpful, especially if working in Memory Support unit.
  • Previous long-term care experience is desirable.

RN/LPN Charge Nurse at Mother Margaret Hall

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLINICAL SUPERVISION, NURSING AND STAFF DUTIES

  • Responsible for unit morale by providing a team based environment through effective leadership and a demonstrated positive attitude.
  • Assumes a lead role in employee issues such as discipline, performance evaluations, retention, and development of qualified personnel.
  • Works with the Nursing supervisor to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations that govern the long-term industry.
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-departmental and cross-functional personnel.
  • Facilitates unit communications by conducting regular meeting with staff personnel designed to identify and correct problem areas and/or the improvement of services.
  • Responsible for the training and skills assessment of STNA’s. Ensures all unit members are knowledgeable and compliant with resident’s rights, standards of care, policies and procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Assists with admission, transfers, and discharge of residents.
  • Participates in the preliminary resident needs assessments and in the development of a written plan of care.
  • Assess and evaluates the residents condition and reports any changes immediately to the supervisor and primary care physician.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments as directed by the attending physician.
  • Accountable for the proper maintenance of written procedures outlining the administration, storage, and control of medications and medical supplies.
  • Remains current of applicable regulations and procedures by professional publications and attends applicable seminars.
  • Attends all mandatory in-services, and staff meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as requested/required.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of accredited RN/LPN School of Nursing with current RN/LPN Ohio License.
  • Knowledge of healthcare management practices and State, Federal and long term care rules and regulations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of teaming principles and applications.
  • Proficient in the development of nursing service delivery, goals, policies, priorities, or procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Federal regulations, Medicare and Medicaid certification and Licensure. Experience in long-term health care preferred.

ES Floor Technician at Motherhouse

Department of Environmental Services
1Regular Full-Time 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Must be able to work weekends (rotation)                                                     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains hard floor and carpeted floor surfaces in the optimal condition.
  • Removes trash, cleans windows, distributes linen, and assists with set-ups and moves, various cleaning duties as required/requested.
  • Knows where to obtain information regarding chemicals, follows direction in use and care of chemicals and equipment.
  • Keeps equipment neat and clean, notifies supervisor of needed maintenance, performs minor maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Completes requests for supplies.
  • Communicates with supervisor regarding the scheduling of work.
  • Functions appropriately to emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all safety precautions and reports to supervisor or appropriate personnel, any conditions that appear to be unsafe, reports incidences and conditions needing maintenance.
  • Completes daily report.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • One year hard surface floor care with a strong knowledge of floor care chemicals and equipment.
  • Knowledge of carpet care.

Environmental Service Technician at Motherhouse

Department of Environmental Services
1-Regular Full-Time 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
(On call on a scheduled basis)
Occasionally work on the Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean, mop, vacuum and sanitize rooms, halls, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Empty wastebaskets, transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Clean windows, furniture, draperies and carpets.
  • Clean, dust, polish furniture.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked and clean.
  • Keep all equipment clean and in good condition.
  • Deliver linens and other supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and proper storage of chemicals in locked compartment closet and custody of assigned keys.
  • May require working in other facilities.
  • Know where to obtain information regarding chemicals, follows direction in use and care of chemicals and equipment.
  • Responds to emergency clean-ups, moves light furniture cleans glass and sets up for meetings, special events and other tasks as required.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • 6 months experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Will train

Sister Mary Frances Boyle died Nov. 5, 2021, at the age of 87 in Mother Margaret Hall nursing facility, Mount St. Joseph, Ohio. Sister Mary Frances was born on March 14, 1934 to John and Adwilda (Hebert) in Denver, Colorado. She was a Sister of Charity for 70 years.
